About Gary Owens
| Gary Owens was born and bred in Liverpool,
and from a very early age had an interest in all things
musical- especially when it came to Cathedral Organs. Enjoying holidays on home soil, as a child, Gary got to visit Cathedrals across the country on a regular basis. Inspired, he was keen to learn how to play the pipe organ, and began piano lessons at age 6 before being taught organ from age 11 by Harry Moore and David Houlder. He received lessons from Ian Wells as an adult. Gary is an accomplished and talented musician, having played regularly for church services as well as the occasional recital during his twenties at Saint George's Hall and Christ Church, Port Sunlight. These days, Gary is kept busy running GO-Organ Builders Ltd., but occasionally finds time to play for local services. A committed Christian, when not working, Gary enjoys attending recitals, socialising, travelling and outdoor pursuits- walking, climbing, camping and biking throughout the UK. |
